The Javett-UP is a beautiful, world-class centre where art brings people together. It’s our Africa and our art.

Javett-UP opens on Heritage Day, 24 September, with four ground-breaking exhibitions: a collection of 101 signature works of South African art selected from collections around the country; the Javett Family Collection of South African modern art, an exhibition of significant gold pieces from the Mapungubwe collection and a selection of quirky objects from the university museums.

We’re also partnering with Market@TheSheds, so there will be the best in local music and other entertainment, and food and drinks will be on sale.

Entrance is free and to ensure a slot for a guided tour, booking is essential on iTickets. Alternatively you can claim your ticket at the door.
